Literature Text

Rain, rolling down
Out from the gloomy sky
With in minutes
The ground is dark and vibrant
Like a saturated sponge
Filled with multicoloured bubbles

I look at the aqua-ed ground
The dirt all dark and moist
As if it is
a warm chocolate cake
But above the earth
Are blossoms of vibrant green wonder
and so chilling is the sight
To see such benevolent contrast
Below the iridescent clouds

A memorial of the almost fogotten ones
Claim the center stage
In an almost undramatic way
And a slight edging smile
Appears across my face
As I ponder
Oh how the would feel and think
of this beauty of contrast......
If they were still living
I have not written in a while. This is about - you guessed it- a court yard at my school. I was thinking about it for a long time and decided to write this. Tell me what you think about it.

Hey there,

Prettyflour here on behalf of :iconpoeticalcondition: with the critique you requested.

I love the story you tell in this poem- your courtyard has captured my attention. I especially liked the second stanza- beautiful imagery there! Grammar note- the "with in' in the the first stanza should be 'Within'

I hope this is helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your words!  Heart
